Finds and removes duplicate files from your hard drive.
Duplicate files are a nuisance. Do not just take up space, but can get confused and do that we edit the wrong version of a document or delete appropriate.
AllDup is a search for duplicated files. His first window is the search wizard from which you must define the disks to explore and the comparison method. For example, you can ask to look AllDup duplicates by name, extension, size or content.
The search is complete, AllDup display a file manager with a naming tree down. Each contains duplicates and route. Look at the results using the convenient search field. The second toolbar button will activate the preview, available for most common formats.
At this stage, the key is to choose the files to delete. AllDup offers you many functions in the Select menu to avoid having to hand-pick dozens of files. When you press the green button, AllDup ask you what you want done with your choice: you can delete, copy or create shortcuts.
By default, deleted files are moved to a folder called AllDupBackup, at the root of your primary hard disk. If you prefer, you can delete AllDup directly or move them to the Recycle Bin. The search, on the other hand, supports text filters inclusive or exclusive to any file you escape. |
